Wes Allen, Alabama’s Secretary of State, has signed on to Vice President JD Vance’s “Pledge to Protect Americans from Fraud,” a six-point commitment to protect vulnerable Americans, guarantee taxpayer dollars are being used to benefit only eligible American citizens, and ensure that fraudsters are identified and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
“By signing Vice President JD Vance’s pledge, I am reaffirming my commitment to protecting Alabama taxpayers, business owners, and voters. Fraud can never be tolerated,” Allen said. “I am proud to join Vice President Vance and leaders across the country in strengthening our efforts to prevent fraud, protect American citizens, and uphold the public’s trust.”
Secretary Allen has made fraud prevention a top priority of his Administration. Notable actions include entering into a fraud prevention partnership with the Department of Justice and consistently assisting law enforcement in election fraud cases.
“Protecting Alabamians from the harmful effects of fraud is a top priority of mine. This is why I have consistently committed time and resources to combatting fraud related to business filings and elections. I have also regularly engaged with law enforcement partners, ensuring my Office has the ability to detect fraud and assist investigators and prosecutors as we work together to hold fraudsters accountable for their crimes,” Allen said.
