Welcome to the Secretary of State's Record of Proclamation System. This facility provides you easy access to public information maintained by the Secretary of State's office in electronic format. According to of the Alabama Constitution, the Secretary of State keeps a register of the official acts of the Governor of Alabama. The Governor has the power to issue proclamations to include, but not limited to, commemorating events, declaring states of emergency, offering rewards for information concerning the harm of Alabama citizens, convening the Alabama legislature, and noting various election events. Access to proclamations from 1822 to the present are available here and with the Alabama Department of Archives and History.
