- Ballot access signature requirements for potential independent candidates seeking district offices at the federal or state levels in Alabama (i.e., U.S. Congress; State Senate; State House, and State School Board) are being recalculated by the Elections Division. The revised signature requirements will reflect the new district lines approved by the Alabama Legislature this year based on the 2020 U.S. Census. The new signature requirements will be posted to this web site once the Elections Division has calculated them.
