Election 2000 - FCPA Calendar

1999

June 6 Candidates for the 2000 election cycle may begin raising campaign funds. All state candidates must stop fund raising during legislative sessions unless the session is within 120 days of an election.

January 29 Certified/registered mail deadline for Annual Report.
January 31 Last day to file Annual Report covering contributions / expenditures for the 1999 calendar year.
April 7 Last day a candidate may qualify with a political party to run for office.
April 20 Certified/registered mail deadline for 45-Day Report.
April 25 45-Day Report due.
May 30 Certified/registered mail deadline for 10/5-Day Report.
May 30 - June 1 10/5-Day Report due.
June 6 Primary Election
June 20 Certified/registered mail deadline for 10/5-Day Report.
June 19-22 10/5-Day Report due.
June 27 Primary Run-Off Election
July 3 Last day for independent and third party candidates to file petitions for ballot access.
September 21 Certified/registered mail deadline for 45-Day Report.
September 25 45-Day Report due.
October 4 Last day candidates in the June 6 Primary can accept contributions to retire a campaign debt.
October 25 Last day candidates in the June 27 Primary Run-Off can accept contributions to retire a campaign debt.
October 31 Certified/registered mail deadline for 10/5-Day report.
October 30 - November 2 10/5-Day report due.
