FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Friday, November 8, 2019 – MONTGOMERY – This Saturday, No. 1 LSU will visit No. 2 Alabama in Tuscaloosa for what is expected to be the biggest game between the teams since 2015.
Since September of 2015, Alabama has won every home game. With LSU visiting Bryant-Denny Stadium this weekend, this home game winning streak will be seriously threatened.
Because the College Football Playoffs and rankings are at risk, tensions are especially high.
Secretary of State John Merrill, a proud graduate and former Student Body President from the University of Alabama, stated, “I am confident in the Tide’s ability to overcome any challenge as we prepare for the win. If LSU is able to pull out a win, I will personally send ribs from Tuscaloosa’s own Dreamland Barbeque to my friend Secretary Ardoin. I am looking forward to cheering The University on to victory. Roll Tide!”
Louisiana State University graduate and loyal fan, Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin countered with "Should my alma mater LSU somehow fall on Saturday, I will send delicious Jambalaya, fresh from Gonzales Louisiana's own, Jambalaya Shoppe. Geaux Tigers!"
Roll Tide and Geaux Tigers!
