Alabama Receives the Only “A” on Election Integrity Scorecard

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wednesday, February 10, 2021 – MONTGOMERY – The Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee recently released a “State Election Integrity Scorecard” in which Alabama was the only state in the country to receive an “A.”

The report ranks states based on voter identification, ballot harvesting, absentee ballots, and absentee ballot verification.

“We are very proud of the safeguards that have been put in place to protect the voting process in Alabama,” stated Secretary of State John H. Merrill. “Through our various voter registration and photo ID drives and education efforts, we have shattered records for voter registration and voter participation – all while maintaining fair elections, free from fraud.”

While most states fell below the 50% rating, Alabama received a 94% election integrity rating.

“We are pleased Alabama continues to be recognized as a model for election integrity, and we will continue working with our Legislature to advocate for an even more secure and efficient elections process,” continued Merrill.
